10. My favourite recipes for healthy eating.

These recipes are from Dr. Sandra Cabot's book : HORMONE REPLACEMENT The Real Truth

For the best efficient, econmoical and multi-functional juicer I highly recommend the Oscar VitalMax. It produces "living Juice" as it uses a crushing and squeezing action, similar to cold pressing, that doesn't destroy enzymes.

This is my favorite easy and tasty healthy recipe for a 2 day detox:


Morning juice (upon rising)


1 apple

2 carrots

3 sticks celery

¼ bunch parsley

Lunchtime juice


1 leaf red cabbage

5 string green beans

2 spinach leaves

2 red apple

1 red radish

Afternoon juice

1 orange

1 grapefruit (or 2 limes)

1 kiwi fruit

1 cm slice fresh ginger root

1 carrot

1 cucumber plus skin

Dinner time (healthy eating detox soup recipe for 2 nights)


To a large saucepan on medium heat add:

1 tblspn cold pressed olive oil

2 potatoes, peeled and chopped to bite size

1 carrot diced

1 onion chopped

2 cloves garlic peeled and crushed (optional)

And stir until onion is soft

Pour in:

4 cups water

Bring to boil, turn down to simmer.

When potatoes are nearly cooked add:

1 bunch spinach washed and shredded

1 cup string green beans

1 floret broccoli

½ cup chopped parsley

When all vegetables are cooked, turn off the heat.

Add:

2 tblspns miso paste (available from health food stores)

Salt and pepper to taste and healthy eating.


Evening beverage


Herbal teas - red clover, chamomile, peppermint.

Ensure you drink 10 glasses of water during the day, in between juices.

Roasted legumes - beans and chickpeas

Almonds, chopped

Brazil nuts, chopped

Pepitas

Sunflower seeds

Dried apricot, diced

Dried apple, chopped

Flaked or shredded coconut
